Description:The play When the Plum Blossoms Bloom, written by children's playwright Ma Jingxian, tells the parallel stories of Juan-Juan, a girl born into a wealthy family who excels at school, and Lil’ Rock, a kind-hearted boy raised by a single parent. Juan-Juan’s parents are always busy with work, so she wants to prove herself by getting good grades on every test at school. On her birthday, while running errands for her mother, Juan-Juan gets attacked by a stranger and his dog. Luckily, with the help of Lil’ Rock, Juan Juan comes out of the situation seemingly unharmed. However, the next day, Juan-Juan is struck by a mysterious illness, and her doctor tells her she will not completely recover until the plum flowers bloom, which is still months away. Hoping to cheer her up, Lil’ Rock makes origami plum blossoms and decorates her hospital ward with them, but Juan-Juan isn’t pleased, thinking he is trying to deceive her with fake flowers. Before Juan-Juan can even get upset, her illness is magically cured.

其他說明:此作品為兒童文學前輩作家馬景賢之作，描述一位衣食無缺、成績優秀的孩子娟娟，與單親家庭小石頭的相遇過程。娟娟原是一位只在意自己成績，並力求表現的乖學生，父親總是忙碌在外，為家庭謀求好的生活品質。在娟娟生日的那天，因外出替母親買東西，遇上陌生人及大狼狗的攻擊，所幸小石頭路見不平相助而平安無事，然次日娟娟卻因此大病，醫生說必須等到桃花開，才有痊癒的機會。但在當時的季節並非桃花開的時節，小石頭為了娟娟的病，特地用紙作了桃花，卻引來娟娟的不滿，認為被欺瞞，而在同時病卻神奇的好了。作者以童心之眼，寫下童真及其珍貴的友情。
