- GDESC:　　本種直至2017年才被確認為獨立種，且為臺灣特有種。吻肛長最大約11公分，體型肥胖，四肢發達，全身鱗片光滑無稜起；尾長約可達吻肛長的1.5倍。幼體背面以黑色為底，但滿佈黃色細斑，尾部為亮麗的藍色，但隨成長身上的黑色及尾部藍斑會漸漸褪去。成體全身背面為灰褐色，鱗片的邊緣帶黑色，雄性成蟲後背面的白斑會變的不太明顯或消失，雌性則不會褪去。
  　　原僅發現於綠島，目前臺東部分地區也偶有發現。常在早上八、九點左右出來曬太陽，喜活動於開墾地或較開闊的草生地，遇危險時會鑽進草叢或樹林中躲避。日行性，以昆蟲等小形節肢動物為食，尾部易自割。
