  型態：毛色為淡褐色亦有金黃色的個體。鼻部特化成上、中、下鼻葉。上鼻葉呈等邊三角型，中鼻葉有一楔狀突起，下鼻葉呈現馬蹄狀。外耳殼大末端尖。臺灣小蹄鼻蝠為臺灣特有種蝙蝠。
  
  生態：臺灣小蹄鼻蝠在廣泛分布，各海拔都可發現，以鱗翅目、鞘翅目、雙翅目等小型昆蟲為食。主要以洞穴為棲所，棲息時個體間彼此緊靠，一個棲所的族群可從數十隻至數千隻。
  
  形質：臺灣小蹄鼻蝠前臂長3.6～4.1公分，頭體長3.7～5.1公分，翼展長21.8～24.2公分，體重4.5～8.5公克，為小型食蟲性蝙蝠。
  
  標本資訊：本件標本吻肛長720mm；尾長50mm（應該有錯），為乾製標本。
