    • GDESC:　　頭胸甲橫寬橢圓形，背面扁平，分區不明。額緣為淺凹中分為二，由背面觀平切，由前面觀，可見額緣下傾，各葉緣中央凹陷，分成四葉。螯足左右甚不等稱，各節表面光滑。大螯可動指內緣基部有大鈍圓齒一枚，不動指內緣中部具一大鈍圓齒及一小齒，兩指咬合時，基部空隙大。小螯兩指細長，兩指內緣齒小，咬合時無空隙。步足細長，表面光滑，前節末部及指節密具短毛。本種蟹為潮間帶常見種，翻開石塊時，本種蟹常捲縮著所有
      　　分布於日本、台灣、中國大陸南部、菲律賓、新喀里多尼亞、澳洲、泰國、馬來群島、斯里蘭卡、印度、紅海、索馬利亞及南非。棲息於潮間帶具沙底的礁石或岩石下。
