    • GDESC:　　頭胸甲方形，前半部及鰓區具粗糙顆粒及斜行斷斷續續顆粒隆線。額寬，向下彎，額後有四葉突出。前側緣鋒銳，眼窩外齒銳三角形，指向前方，眼窩外齒之後具一模糊齒痕。螯足左右等大，雄螯較雌螯大，掌部背緣近可動指基部有兩條斜向梳狀櫛，可動指背緣列生7~9個較大突起圓顆粒。步足長節相對寬扁。整體呈黑褐色，頭胸甲前半部常雜有黃色斑，螯足掌部及兩指為紅褐色。
      　　廣分布於印度－西太平洋。為臺灣海岸常見種。穴居於河口域泥灘或岸邊，尤其紅樹林根部及泥灘地的大卵石下，常大量群居，亦可攀爬紅樹林樹幹。獵食性強，常會攻擊捕食其他小動物，甚至同類及自己的幼蟹。
