- GDESC:標本體長約x公分。體背土黃色或赤褐色，大致光滑但帶有一些細小顆粒突起；眼後的鼓膜與顳褶處，形成深色菱形斑塊。背側褶細長，略斷續。酒精浸泡標本體背粉白色，深褐色菱形斑塊隱約可見，背側摺明顯，體光滑，隱約有顆粒。從平地到海拔1900公尺都有分布，主要棲息與繁殖在山區的積水域、水田或水溝等環境，生殖季通常在2到4月，會有區域性差異(高田與大谷 2011)。生殖時，會大量聚集在水池邊，卵塊球狀，會沉在水底(奧山與松橋 2011)。為日本特有種，廣泛分布在日本本州、四國與九州等地區。(巫奇勳撰)
