- GDESC:　　頭胸甲橫長方形，表面具顆粒及軟毛，雄性尤密。眼窩寬，背、腹緣均具鋸齒。前側緣含眼窩外齒共三齒，前兩齒間的缺刻深。口前板中部內凹，第三顆足長節短於座節。雄螯較雌螯粗壯，掌節表面光滑，兩指下彎，指端匙狀，不動指咬合緣基部有一枚三角形大齒。前三對步足長節的背、腹緣均有顆粒及短毛。全身呈上褐色，螯足土黃色。退潮後拖泥帶水活躍於仍積水的泥濘灘地，族群量龐大之處，可見成千上萬的蟹影鑽動。雄蟹揮舞螯足時，挺立身體，高舉雙螯後迅速放下，反覆進行，動作有如高舉雙手口呼萬歲! 故被命名為「萬歲大眼蟹」。
  　　分布於東亞，台灣、中國大陸(香港至北部渤海灣)、朝鮮半島及日本都有發現記錄。成群穴居於海灣、河口、潟湖、紅樹林沼澤區的廣闊的潮間帶泥灘地或潮溪兩旁。
