Introduction:The company, Grain Sewing Machines, was founded in the UK in 1930. Its core personnel at that time came from the sewing companies with well-developed technologies, including Singer from the US, the largest manufacturer of sewing machines in the world.

During the WWII period from 1939 to 1945, the UK was deep in the war. In order to maintain its survival, Grain resorted to the business models of "OEM production" and "maintenance and repair services". In addition to manufacturing its own sewing machines, the company also tried to create additional revenues by providing OEM services for Singer and dispatching a team of its personnel to Rolls-Royce to repair and rebuild sewing machines.
