Introduction：This typewriter was produced by the Yost Writing Machine Co. in the late 19th century in the United States. The founder of the company, George Washington Newton Yost, was one of the important figures in the early development of the typewriter industry.

Yost successfully convinced Remington to produce the “Sholes and Glidden typewriter” and later established his own company to produce typewriters. Both Remington and Yost played a vital role in the history of typewriters shortly afterwards.
