It is mounted on a wooden frame, on which an inscription "Present by Chinese Congee Association, October 31, 2001" is posted. The day marked the 105th anniversary of the birth of Chiang Kai-shek.
Chinese Congee Association was founded by Wu Zhihui and Yu Youjen, and most of its members were party elders and calligraphy artists. Wu Zhihui in his whole life declined to take any official position and would rather be a teacher or an editor. Sometimes he was so poor that he ran out of rice and had to sell his handwriting. He maintained self-regulated daily life "to take in only two meals of congee and one meal of rice, and a lot of vegetables, but small quantity of meats." He initiated and founded the Chinese Congee Association in 1924.
Lang Chingshan, one of the first Chinese photojournalists, was born in 1892 and learned photography at the age of 12. He won international fame for his unique composite photography technique. His lifelong mission was to promote Chinese culture.
