Description:Written in running script by Chung Chao-cheng in the winter of 2005, this calligraphy artwork features late Tang Dynasty poet Zheng Gu’s jueju (7-character, 4-line rhymed verse) titled Huai Shang Bie Gu Ren [“Farewell to an Old Acquaintance by the Huai River”], which reads, “The willows along Yangtze River suggest the advent of spring / The flying catkins remind travelers of their sorrows / In the evening, the music of the flute can be heard from the pavilion / You are headed for Xiaoxiang (now Hunan Province) and I am headed for Qin (now Shaanxi Province).” In the margin is written “Inscription by Chung Chao-cheng, winter of 2005.” The calligrapher’s seal is affixed.
