Description:This piece was later included in The Apricot Moon published by Doghouse Books. It is a short piece and two sentences of the poem read: “At my window a yellow chrysanthemum blooms/It is a cup of new tea that the season has prepared for me.” As the autumn approaches, the writer is unable to go out and linger among the colorful scenery because he is ill, so he recalls the time when, before his illness, he used to travel in spirit as he sat at his desk, sat until he heard the bell sound before he would return to his writing. Although he became lethargic after he fell ill, this did not stop him from recalling everything that had to do with autumn, it even haunted his dreams—those causeways with their fallen leaves, the ponds grown over with reeds, until one day all this would also pass with time. At the end the writer looks forward to seeing once more a chrysanthemum flower at his window, filled with a feeling of love for this season.

摘要:本筆資料由窗前一叢秋天開放的黃菊起興，聯繫起今昔兩個時空。作者身處於「病餘之後」的現實，心神慵倦而無心寫作，因此流連於舊日如夢似幻的秋日景色。恍惚間，作者陷入舊日秋光裡，落葉、長堤、池塘、明鏡所構築的想像世界。相較於現實的病痛，昔日光景則撫慰了作者的心。最後以「時間的鳬鳥」點水掠過，驚醒作者的沉醉夢想，今昔合一。視野再次回到現實，以凝視窗前的黃菊結尾。前後呼應。（文／廖堅均）

其他說明:1. 本筆資料共2頁，書寫於600字稿紙。稿件襄有瀑布圖樣的邊框。
2. 本文後收於林白出版社的《杏黃月》一書中，為小品文，首二句即提到「窗前有朵黃菊開放了／正是季節為我準備的一杯新茶」，作者在秋天來臨時，因為生病而無法在一片秋色間流連，於是想起未生病前常在桌前神遊，直到鐘響才又回神在寫作上。生病之後雖然慵懶，但卻止不住回憶秋天的一切，甚至在夢中縈繞不去，那些雨中的落葉長堤，長滿蘆葦的池塘，直到這一切隨著時間而流逝。文末提到作者期盼再次見到窗滿的菊花，充滿對秋天的喜愛之情。
