作者簡介:1931年生於新竹州竹東郡芎林庄鹿寮坑，臺灣省立臺北師範學校藝術科(今國立臺北教育大學)畢業，擅長運用色彩及構圖，透過旅行、寫生，觀察各地景物的光影變化，融入生活與東方美感，創造豐富的視覺語言，呈現光景特色。連續三次榮獲台陽美展最高獎、中華民國畫學會金爵獎(最優油畫家)、中山文藝創作、社團法人亞細亞美術交友會國際協力賞、日本航空株式會社國際賞、法國坎城國際美展國家榮譽獎

作者英文簡介:Ho, Chau Chu was born in 1931 in Luliao Pit, Qionglin Township, Hsinchu County. A graduate in Art from Taiwan Provincial Normal School (now the National Taipei University of Education), He is a master at color and composition. Drawing from his travels and sketches, he observes the lighting variations of scenes of numerous locations and incorporates liveliness and an Asian sense of beauty into his art, creating a rich visual language with which to highlight the details of his scenes. He won the highest award offered by the Tai-Yang Art Exhibition three times in a row, a Golden Nobility Award from the Art Society of China (for best oil painter), the Sun Yat-Sen Literary and Arts Award, an International Contribution Award from the Artist Friendship Association of Asia, an International Airways Prize from Japan Asia Airways, and an International Award from the Cannes Fine Art Exhibition.
