藏品描述: 早期的地圖繪製僅能依靠地面測量，費時耗力。1963年，本校獲得聯合國農糧組織贈送德國Zeiss C8類比立體製圖儀，開啟航空測量製圖之始。1992年，本校自德國購入數台 [Leica SD2000解析攝影立體製圖儀]，開啟航空攝影數位製圖新紀元。航拍數位照片(又稱:數位影像)被送入機器後，經由儀器運算建構立體模型，最後透過人員操作辨識，於電腦裡完成地圖繪製。目前SD2000已被最新的數位影像工作站(image work station)取代，因此其中的一組件便移交至本館典藏。
City map is an important tool for urban governance. In the past, mapping could only be done via ground surveys, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive. In 1963, NCKU received a Stereoplanigraph Zeiss C8 from Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, which marked the beginning of aerial photogrammetry. From 1992, since NCKU purchased a Leica SD2000 Digital Video Plotter (DVP) from German manufacturer, a new epoch of digital aerial photogrammetry started. Digital aerial photographs are first received by the machine, and then a three-dimensional model is constructed through calculations from the device. As the last step, the map is completed in computer through manual identification of locations. However, the SD2000 has now been replaced by the most up-to-date image workstation, and the device has been retired and transferred to the collection of NCKU Museum.
