The Celebratory Returnee Party of Overseas Chinese from Osaka, Japan, presented this silver treasure boat as a gift on October 31, 1963. It is set in a square glass display case. The carved silver boat is decorated with gold foil designs and raised on a silver base in ocean waves pattern inscribed "Happy 77th Birthday to President Chiang.", a celebratory message "The Savior of the Nation" is inscribed on the same side of the wood stand that supports the base, and on lower part "Respectfully, The Celebratory Returnee Party of Overseas Chinese from Osaka, Japan." The treasure boat is finely carved, and the bow is a sculpture with its wings embracing the hull, which is filled up with gold, silver, and jewelry and inserted a "Fortune and Longevity Fan." The sail is embroidered with the Chinese character of "Treasure" set off by golden clouds. Among Japanese gifts, such type of treasure boats symbolizes that good fortune, prosperity, and longevity are coming riding the waves.
