Xiao Xilin, an overseas Chinese from Indonesia, presented, in 1969, this silver tea set to President Chiang as a birthday gift. The tea set is packed in a colorful carton printed with the words "Toko OEKON," "DJL. MADJAPAHIT M D JAKARTA," "=INDONESIA=." A red card inserted in the carton is inscribed "In celebration of President Chiang's birthday" and on the lower part, "Respectfully, Xiao Xilin, an overseas Chinese form Indonesia." Judging from the mark on the carton, the red card was originally pasted on the box. The silver tea set consists of five pieces, including a large teapot, small teapot, sugar bowl, set of spoons, and tray.
