這把蒲葵扇是蔣中正總統生前所使用的，已相當陳舊，蒲扇左手邊靠近把手邊緣有一修補痕跡。在蔣中正總統的生活照片中看到在遊日月潭時手中所持就是這種蒲扇，中正紀念堂還有另一把較新的同型蒲扇，看來就沒有用過，侍從人員口述時談及蔣中正總統靜的功夫做得非常徹底，在他身上有寒暑不侵的感覺，越到晚年越是如此，因此很少使用扇子，就連風扇也很少使用。

This the palm-leaf fan used by Chiang Kai-shek during his lifetime. It is archaic and has a repair mark on the left hand side of the fan and near to the handle. Chiang Kai-shek was seen holding this kind of fans appeared in his candid pictures taken on the trip to Sun Moon Lake. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall collected another newer palm-leaf fan of the same type, but it seems it has never been used. According to his attendants, Chiang Kai-shek was able to stay cool in any situations and didn't care about either the hot or the cold weather conditions. And the older he got, the more so, Therefore, he rarely used fans or electrical fans.
