民國13年黃埔軍校建校，6月16日舉行開學典禮，是為國民革命軍建軍之始。為宣揚國民革命軍東征、北伐、抗戰、建國之功，特於陸軍軍官學校建校50週年校慶紀念日，發行紀念郵票1組，以資慶祝。1元面值者係以蔣中正總統身著戎裝騎馬之英姿為主題，並以黃埔軍校校門為背景，顯示蔣中正總統手創軍校之意義；14元面值者則以一列雄壯、威武、整齊、嚴肅之現代化陸軍官校學生，手舉國旗與軍校校旗，行進於鳳山陸軍軍官學校門前之雄姿為題材，表現50年來陸軍軍官學校之發展。

Whampoa Military Academy was established in 1924 and held school opening ceremony on June 16 the same year, which was the beginning of the National Revolutionary Army. In order to proclaim the Army's heroic deeds in the Eastern Expedition, the Northern Expedition, the Second Sino-Japanese War, and national construction, a set of postage stamps was issued in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Academy. The stamp with NT$1 denomination is designed with the image of Chiang Kai-shek dressed in military uniform and riding on a horse and the Academy in background to reflect the significance of his contribution in the founding of the Academy. The stamp with NT$14 denomination has images showing a row of majestic, powerful, orderliness, solemn cadets of modernized military academy holding a national flag and an Academy banner and marching in front of the Republic of China Military Academy located in Fengshan to demonstrate the 50-year development of the Military Academy.
