民國50年10月10日，欣逢中華民國建國50年國慶紀念，發行「中華民國建國50年國慶紀念」郵票及小全張，以誌慶祝。發行小全張（橫135毫米、縱100毫米）1種，及0.8元、5元票各1枚組成。該項郵票0.8元面值者以國父中山先生與蔣中正總統像為圖案；5元者以國旗地圖為主題。

Postage stamps and souvenir sheets with the theme of "The 50th Anniversary of ROC" were issued on the happy occasion of Double Tenth Day in 1961, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China. The souvenir sheet (135 mm by 100 mm) came in a NT$0.8 and a NT$5 denominations. The stamps with NT$0.8 denomination were designed with the images of founding father Sun Yat-sen and President Chiang Kai-shek. The theme of stamps with NT$5 denomination has drawings of a map and a flag.
