製鏡框內以綠色絨布襯底，上放有一組紀念郵票（2元8元、12元三種面額）、收藏卡、首日封及紀念信封，乃民國69年蔣中正總統逝世五週年紀念，交通部郵政總局特別製作發行，在收藏卡上特別註明發行的緣由：「蔣中正總統乃我中華民國承先啟後之革命偉人，二十世紀之反共領袖。德業垂昭百世，精神永契人心。畢生獻身革命，效忠民國，秉承國父遺志，實踐三民主義，弘揚民主憲政，歷經東征、北伐、剿匪、抗戰、戡亂，以致建設台、澎、金、馬基地，領導反共大業，無時不以愛國家、愛民族、愛世界人類為職志。德業彪炳，志節堅貞，而反共遠見，尤為舉世所崇仰。六十九年四月四日（清明節）為蔣中正總統逝世五週年紀念日，特恭印紀念郵票一組，於是日亦即中正紀念堂落成開放之日發行，以誌追思。」

The display glass frame overlaid inside with green velvet shows a set of commemorative stamps (come in NT$2, NT$8, and NT$ 12 denominations), a collection card, a first day cover, and a commemorative envelope, which was specially designed and published in 1980 by Chunghwa Post, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the death of President Chiang Kai-shek. On the collection card, the cause of issuing the set reads: "Former President Chiang Kai-shek was a revolutionary giant who followed the past and heralded the future of the Republic of China and an anti-communist leader of the twentieth century. His meritorious accomplishments leave a good reputation for ages to come and he is here with us in spirit forever. He dedicated his life to the revolution, was loyal to the Republic, kept faith with founding father's principles, carried out Three Principles of the People, and propagated constitutional democracy. He went through Easter Expedition, Northern Expedition, counter-insurgency, Second Sino-Japanese War, and the suppression of Communist rebellion, as well as constructing Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and the Matsu Islands as bases, and leading anti-Communist cause. He was filled with the aspiration to love his country, nation, and humankind. His feats are shining, his ambitions are faithful, and his vision of anti-communism is admired all over the world. We specially issued a set of commemorative stamps on the April 4 of 1980 (Tomb Sweeping Day), i.e., the date of completion and grand opening of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the death of Chiang Kai-shek."
