王友俊（1944－），生於台中。任國立臺灣師範大學美術系所專任教授，專職水墨畫的研究，創作、教學已經長達數十年。 作品風格立足於傳統，更超越了傳統創作者的語彙，真實地表現出水墨山水畫，加上以「讀萬卷書，不如行萬里路」的精神，曾前後登臨黃山13次，畫盡黃山各個角度的美景。以黃賓虹的「渾厚華滋」、鄭曼青的「厚重拙大」並自擬「圓融溫潤」、「豪邁磅礡」為創作的指針。提出「題材不重要、技法不重要，只要能在畫面上表現出『溫、潤、厚、實』四個字，其畫必有可觀。」認為繪畫「求新」固然重要、「求好」更是最終的使命。畫壇推崇二十世紀初期的墨彩青綠山水，當以溥心畬、張大千為最佳；二十世紀後半，墨彩青綠山水，則以袁旃、周澄與王友俊為代表，可見王友俊在畫壇被重視的程度。
牌坊峰位於黃山西海景區，西海門左群峰中，排雲亭前方，海拔1500米，不在72峰之列。因峰狀如一座巨石牌坊，拔地而起，故名。近旁有「仙人曬靴」、「武松打虎」等巧石景觀。舉凡黃山獨特的奇松、堅硬的怪石、飄忽的煙雲等王友俊皆一一入畫，並運用多層次慢染技巧展現雲霧飄動的韻味。畫面中，除了捕捉山石的質感及量感之外，也積極追求環境的氣氛、溫度、溼度，在在顯現出其個人的繪畫風格。(501字)

Wang You-Jun (1944- ), born in Taichung. He is a full-time professor in the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University, specializing in the study of ink painting, and has reached fifty years to create and teach. While his artistic style is rooted in tradition, it transcends the vocabulary of traditional creators and authentically expresses ink landscape painting. Guided by the spirit of "reading thousands of books is not as useful as traveling thousands of miles", he visited Huangshan 13 times, capturing its beauty from different angles. His creative pointers include Huang Bin-Hong's "thick and luxurious", Zheng Man-Qing's "heavy and blunt", and his own "harmonious and warm" and "bold and majestic". He suggests that "the subject and technique are not important, as long as the painting expresses warmth, moisture, thickness and solidity, the painting will be remarkable". He believes that "seeking innovation" in painting is important, but "seeking excellence" is the ultimate mission. The art world highly esteems his 20th-century ink paintings of Qinglu Mountain and Water, and considers him, along with Pu Hsin-Yu (Pu Ru) and Chang Da-Chien, as the best in the early 20th century; and along with Yuan Zhan, Chou Cheng in the second half of the 20th century.

Paifang Peak is located in the West Sea Scenic Area of Huangshan, left of the West Sea Gate Peaks, in front of Paiyun Pavilion, at an altitude of 1500 meters, not listed among the 72 peaks. Named for its arched shape resembling a giant stone archway, nearby are the "Immortal Sunbathing Boots", "Wu Song Fighting the Tiger" and other ingeniously shaped stone landscapes. All of Huangshan's unique pine trees, hard strange stones, and fleeting clouds are captured in Wang You-Jun's paintings, using multi-layered slow painting techniques to depict the rhythm of drifting clouds and mist. In his paintings, he not only captures the texture and mass of the rocks, but also actively pursues the atmosphere, temperature, and humidity of the environment, all of which reflect his personal painting style.
