民國45年10月31日俞鴻鈞、黃少谷為祝賀蔣中正總統70大壽所贈，外有鏡框，內為銀質地球儀，整體造型為一鷹展翼單腳立於地球儀上，地球儀上方為亞洲部份，特地將中國各地主要城市位置一一標出，其餘地區則未做顯示，另以金漆紋刻「雙壽」，上款為「總統七秩華誕」，下款為「職俞鴻鈞、黃少谷恭祝」。
俞鴻鈞為當時行政院長，其在抗戰初期擔任上海市長，政府撤往重慶後調任外交部政務次長、中央信託局局長、財政部長；勝利後接任中央銀行總裁，於動員戡亂時受命主持上海央行黃金儲備運往台灣。遷台後兼任央行總裁與交通銀行、中國農民銀行、台灣銀行董事長。民國42年年出任台灣省政府主席，兼任台灣後備司令部司令，43年至47年任行政院長。
黃少谷時任行政院副院長，在大陸曾任監察委員、掃蕩報社社長、和平日報社社長、制憲國民大會代表、中國國民黨中央宣傳部部長，來台後擔任行政院政務委員、總裁辦公室秘書室主任、行政院秘書長，民國43至47年擔任行政院副院長。

Yu Hung-Chun and Huang Shao-ku presented, on October 31, 1956, this gift to celebrating Chiang Kai-shek's 70th birthday. The silver globe, topped with a rising eagle raised on the globe with a single paw, has an Asia map on the upper part and the locations of China's major cities marked, but left out the rest. The inscription "Double Longevity" is carved in gold lacquer, with a dedication "In celebration of the 70th birthday of President Chiang" and "Respectfully, Yu Hung-Chun and Huang Shao-ku."

Yu Hung-Chun was the then Premier, before this, had served as Mayor of Shanghai at the beginning of the war, and after the government evacuated to Chongqing, he was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affair, followed by Secretary of Central Trust of China, and Minister of Finance. After the victory of the war, he assumed the role of President of Central Bank, and was responsible for shipping Central Bank's gold reserves from Shanghai to Taiwan, during the beginning period of mobilization for the suppression of Communist rebellion. After the government relocated in Taiwan, he took over the position of Governor of the Central Bank and Chairmen of Bank of Communications, Farmers Bank of China, and Bank of Taiwan. In 1953, he took up the post of Governor of Taiwan Provincial Government and held a concurrent post of Commander of Reserve Command (now Reserve Command of Ministry of National Defense), and from 1954 to 1958, Premier of the Republic of China.

Huang Shao-ku was Vice Premier at that time. During the time in mainland China, he served as Member of the Control Yuan, President of Saodang News, President of Heping News, Member of the Constitutional Convention, and Secretary of Central Propaganda Department of KMT. After the government relocated in Taiwan, he took up the posts of Deputy Minister of the Executive Yuan, Director of Secretary Office of Party President Office, Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan and Vice Premier from 1954 to 1958.
