李沃源
李沃源(1957-),金門人,9歲始習書畫,30歲後專注於水墨,師承李奇茂與倪文東老師,畢業於政治作戰學校藝術系(現為國防大學政治作戰學院應用藝術學系)及北京師範大學藝術學院書法專業碩士。曾任兩岸和平文化藝術聯盟創會理事長兼總會秘書長、金馬臺澎兩岸交流協會理事長、臺北市山癡畫會會長等,長期致力於兩岸和平藝術文化交流活動。
作者策畫「和平金門-華人百位國畫家彩瓷聯展」,於金門、中正紀念堂及廈門巡迴展出,係為2009年華人書畫界之盛事,以「和平金門」為主題,邀集100多位兩岸三地華人藝術家,以臺灣唯一僅存官窯金門陶瓷廠的瓷盤,進行現場個別創作,藉由藝術家群策之力,表述金門追求和平的誠意與決心。
彩繪瓷盤技法為釉下彩,指未經燒成或只經過素燒的土坯,以釉藥彩繪色彩後,再施以一層透明釉,送入窯中經過1200多度高溫燒製,燒製後的成品已完全瓷化,質地堅硬,因有釉層保護,表面透明光滑平整,相對於釉上彩或熱轉印,釉下彩將顏色壓在類玻璃釉之下,安全無毒不褪色。李沃源的作品屬性為山巒起伏、煙雲流動、氣勢磅礡,用筆老練,氣氛掌握具有東方氣質;本件作品體現恬淡生活的清幽小品,一碧千里的草原,視線依循著錯落的樹叢天際線,來到遠方雲湧,傳達作者欲表現的幽遠逸趣。(508字)
Li Wo-Yuan (1957- ), a native of Kinmen County, began to study calligraphy and painting at the age of nine and focused on ink and wash after the age of 30.
Studied under Li Chi-Mao and Ni Wen-Tung, Li graduated from the Art Department of Political Warfare Cadres Academy (now the Department of Applied Arts, Fu Hsing Kang College, National Defense University) and the Master of Fine Arts in Calligraphy, College of Arts, and Beijing Normal University.
Li has served as the founding chairman and general secretary of the Cross-Strait Peace Culture and Arts Alliance, chairman of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu Cross-Strait Exchange Association, and president of the Taipei City Shan Chi Painting Association. Li curated the "Peaceful Kinmen: A Group Exhibition of 100 Chinese Porcelain Painters," which was held across Kinmen, the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and Xiamen. The exhibition was deemed a major event in Chinese painting and calligraphy in 2009. With the theme of "Peace in Kinmen," more than 100 artists from both Mainland China and Taiwan were invited to create individual art pieces on site using porcelain plates from the only remaining official kiln in Taiwan, the Kinmen Ceramic Factory, to express Kinmen's sincerity and determination to pursue peace through the collective efforts of artists.
Underglaze is a porcelain painting technique, which involves painting unfired adobe with glaze and a layer of transparent glaze before sending the adobe for firing at the kiln. The kiln should have a high temperature of over 1200 degrees. As a result, the finished product is completely porcelainized and hard in texture, with a transparent and smooth surface due to the protection of the glaze layer.
Compared to overglaze or heat transfer techniques, underglaze presses the color under a glass-like layer, which is safe, non-toxic, and non-fading. Li’s works are characterized by undulating mountains, flowing clouds and majestic atmosphere, with sophisticated brushwork and an oriental atmosphere.
This work portrays a tranquil life: a thousand miles of grassland with trees leading to the distant clouds and the horizon, conveying the artist’s desire to express his remote interest in serenity.
