此郵票係於民國47年10月31日蔣中正總統7秩晉2華誕之日發行。此票以總統著特級上將制服，在國慶閱兵典禮中所攝之半身玉照為圖案。背景為藍天白雲，並有雷霆式噴射飛機1隊迎空飛翔，右首1列青天白日滿地紅之國旗，隨風飄揚，甚為壯觀。是項郵票圖案之照片係由胡崇賢提供。

The stamp was issued on October 31, 1958, Chiang Kai-shek's 72nd birthday. It is designed with a bust image of President Chiang dressed in the uniform of a five-star general. The picture was taken in a military parade on National Day. The background is blue sky and a squadron of F 84 Thunderjet flying past, and on the right hand side, a row of ROC national flags flapping in the wind. It is spectacular. Hu Chongxian supplied the photograph used in design of the stamp.
