民國26年7月7日盧溝橋事件爆發，激起全民憤慨，發起抗日救國，歷經8年浴血抗戰，至民國34年抗戰勝利，同年10月25日光復臺灣。為永銘抗戰史實、並闡揚臺灣光復50年來所締造之經濟及政治奇蹟，特於民國84年10月25日印製紀念郵票1組（5元，19元各一枚）及小全張1張。

When Marco Polo Bridge Incident broke out in July 7, 1937, the entire nation was full of righteous indignation and launched campaigns of resistance against Japan and of national salvation. After going through a bloody war lasted for eight years, Japan surrendered in 1945 and Taiwan was retroceded on October 25 the same year. To embalm the historical facts and propagate the economic and political miracles having been created for 50 years since the retrocession of Taiwan, commemorative stamp sets, which each set included mint stamps (come in one NT$ 5 and one NT$ 19 denominations) and a souvenir sheet, were produced and issued on October 25, 1995.
