Mr. Matsuda Tomio is the president of Japan A21 International Art Exhibition, who held an exhibition at Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in 2005. Mr. Matsuda Tomio later donated this artwork to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall as a memento, which was later added to our collection in 2005's review. No other available information is provided about Mr. Matsuda Tomio.
The oil painting is divided into 15 color blocks with diverging colors, as if to present the nature of chaos and orders, resonating the artist's understanding of Zen ideals and a visual expression of "eternity in an hour."
The Japan A21 International Art Exhibition was founded in 2000 with Mr. Matsuda Tomio as its core figure. After its first exhibition at Wakayama Cultural Hall, Japan, in 2001, where artists from six countries showcased their work, the association also held overseas exhibitions in Poland, Hamburg, Taipei, Yunlin, and more. While pursuing innovation, juvenility, and cultural exchanges, the group also invited numerous foreign contemporary artists to Japan for exhibitions.
