吳長鵬（1934－2013）出生於桃園龍潭，號萬哩。日本大東文化大學博士，桃李滿天下、作育英才無數，致力推廣藝文教學，創立中華藝新創作學會。退休後致力投入地方鄉土藝文創作，配合在地藝術下鄉計畫，曾舉辦一系列文創活動。2013年肝硬化病逝，享壽80歲。除了著書立作66冊外，彩墨創作更是辛勤不輟，在其勇敢創新與嚐試下，留下無數精彩作品。
求學駐足日本期間，在四季分明的國度，被勾起畫雪的靈感，對瑞瑞白雪，更有渾厚情愫。每每觀察入微，細細推敲，嘗試以墨法內蘊，配合多元媒材的運用，敢以超越傳統技法，超現實的構圖以創意統調，變化巧妙、活絡的靈感，律動的線條，勾勒其所見、所觸、所感的微妙雪景，以彩筆繪其奇。
其傾心研究皓雪奇景之寫實、寫意與創作造型，用留白、噴灑、彈點、移動、浮墨……等多元技法，神傳雪景之輕飄、厚重、綿絨與殘雪留痕，有如置身其中之感。本作《雪山之秋》輒以朱標微染於禿枝杈椏間，透露嚴冬白雪、黑岩、紅梅相映之強烈墨彩之美。其善用墨色濃淡變化技巧，大膽表現勝覽之千山萬水，鄉間小景，以豪情逸趣，豐富的情感，如水墨玩遊戲的輕快，以彩色混融於濃淡墨色的物景之間，運化出的畫面，凸顯文人畫家獨具之雅馴韻緻的清新風格，令人陶醉及雲遊其畫中意境。(509字)

Wu Chang-Peng (1934-2013) was born in Longtan, Taoyuan. He was also known as Wan Li. He received his doctorate from Daito Bunka University in Japan. Widely respected as an educator, he nurtured countless talents and was dedicated to the promotion of art and cultural education, founding the Chinese New Creation Art Society. After his retirement, he devoted himself to local and rural artistic creation, coordinating with local arts and rural programs and organizing a series of cultural and creative activities. He died of cirrhosis of the liver in 2013 at the age of 80. In addition to publishing 66 volumes of works, his colorful ink creations were incessant. In his bold innovation and experimentation, he left behind many wonderful works.

While studying in Japan, he was inspired to paint snow by the distinct four seasons. He had a deep affection for the pure white snow, meticulously observing and experimenting with ink techniques and various media. He dared to go beyond traditional techniques, using surreal compositions and creative harmony to depict the subtle snowscapes he saw, touched, and felt, bringing them to life.

He passionately explored the realism, freehand expression and creative modeling of grand snowy scenes. Using various techniques such as leaving white space, spraying, dotting, moving and floating ink, he conveyed the lightness, heaviness, fluffiness and residual traces of snow, evoking a sense of immersion in the scenes. In this work "Autumn on the Snow Mountain," the bare branches are lightly tinted with vermilion, revealing the strong ink beauty of the harsh winter snow, black rocks, and red plums. His skillful use of ink color gradation boldly shows the grandeur of thousands of mountains and rivers and small rural scenes. The vivid, rich emotions, similar to the lightness of playing with ink and water, and the blending of colors in the shades of ink scenes, bring out a painting that highlights the elegant and refined fresh style unique to literati painters, making people indulge and wander in the artistic conception of his paintings.
