Description:Inscribed by Wu Yung-fu as a gift to Hsieh Hong-po, this calligraphy artwork features a congratulatory acrostic quatrain written vertically that reads, “The Hsieh [“withered”] flowers wait for no-one / The surface of the Hong [“pond”] reflects the seasons / The Po [“waves”] are heavy and the leaves fall / Hsiung [“Brother”], you do understand which way the wind blows.” Wu incorporated the four characters “Hsieh, Hong, Po, and Hsiung” as the starting word for each line to glorify Hsieh’s insightful mind. At the poem’s end is an inscription that reads, “Gifted to Mister Hsieh Hong-po.” However, the author did not affix his signature or seal.

摘要:本筆資料為作者致贈謝法波先生之墨蹟，該作為直式書寫，文字內容：「謝花不再為君留 洪池倒影映春秋 波風沈沈葉一落 兄識時務自善修」，作者將「謝洪波兄」四字鑲嵌於四句句首，內容讚賞謝先生識時務。作者於版面左方留下「謝法波兄留念」，但無落款、用印。（文／歐人鳳）
