Description:Written in running script by Chung Chao-cheng in the early summer of 2005, this calligraphy artwork features Du Fu’s lushi (7-character, 8-line rhymed verse) titled Shu Xiang [“Prime Minister Zhuge Liang of the Kingdom Shu”], which reads, “Where is the famous premier’s temple to be found? / Outside the Town of Brocade with cypresses around / In vain before the steps spring grass grows green and long / And amid the leaves golden orioles sing their song / Thrice the king visited him for the State’s gains and pains / He served heart and soul the kingdom during two reigns / But he died before he accomplished his career / How could heroes not wet their sleeves with tear on tear!” (Trans. Xu Yuan-chong). In the margins are written “Excerpt from Du Fu’s Shu Xiang,” “Early spring 2005,” and “Inscription by Chung Chao-cheng.” The calligrapher’s seal is affixed.

摘要:本件藏品為鍾肇政於2005年初夏，以行書題寫杜甫的七言律詩〈蜀相〉全詩，內容為：「丞相祠堂何處尋，錦官城外柏森森。映階碧草自春色，隔葉黃鸝空好音。三顧頻煩天下計，兩朝開濟老臣心。出師未捷身先死，長使英雄淚滿襟。」落款題有：「錄杜甫蜀相」、「二○○五初夏」以及「鍾肇政書」，並有鈐印。（文／朱英韶）

其他說明:1.鍾肇政（1925-01-20/），小說家，著有：「台灣人三部曲」：《沉淪》、《滄溟行》、《插天山之歌》以及「濁流三部曲」：《濁流》、《江山萬里》、《流雲》等。曾與陳火泉、鍾理和等人發行《文友通訊》。
