藏品描述：高粱紫輪病是真菌Cercospora sorghi 造成的病害。葉片染病初期發生短圓形至橢圓形、中央淺紫色四周紫紅色的病斑，多發生在葉脈之間。有時在葉背可見灰色黴層，即病原菌分生孢子梗和分生孢子。後期黴層不明顯或形成黑色小菌核，很易抹掉或脫落。嚴重時病斑融合成雲形，佈滿葉片，致葉片早枯。葉鞘染病產生邊緣紫紅色，中央淺紫色橢圓形病斑，一般不產生廣黴層和菌核。
The leaf lesions caused by Cercospora sorghi are bacilliform to oblong in shape. The lesions have been described as a homogeneous reddish-brown, or as dark purple to red with a tan or brown center. Where heavy sporulation occurs a diffuse grey color appears on both the upper and lower lesion surfaces. Heavy sporulation has a velvety appearance. Lesions caused by C. sorghi may coalesce to form longitudinal stripes or irregular blotches. In severe cases, leaf blight may result.
