藏品描述：稻褐條葉枯病為一世界性的古老病害，1900年就有本病之記載。臺灣於 1922年由澤田氏首次報告記載。本病在水稻生育後期發生，而不受重視。本病通常在水稻葉片上產生條狀褐色病斑，亦會感染葉鞘、葉舌、穗梗及稻穎等部位，發病嚴重時可導致40％產量之損失。
Narrow brown spot (also called narrow brown leaf spot, or rice Cercospora leaf spot) is caused by the fungus Cercospora oryzae and can infect leaves, sheaths, and panicles. It leads to premature death of leaves and leaf sheaths, premature ripening of grains, and in severe cases, lodging of plants. Severe damage caused by narrow brown spot decreases the market value of the grains and reduces the milling recovery.
