藏品描述：甜菜褐斑病，是一種針對甜菜葉片發作的真菌型病害。常使甜菜減產10%～20%，含糖量降低1°～2°或2°～3°。葉片染病初期出現褐色至紫褐色圓形至不規則形小斑點，最終會導致葉片乾枯而死。危害的真菌為Cercospora beticola。該病害可以通過田間管理或者藥劑噴灑等方式來防治。
Cercospora leaf spot, incited by the fungus Cercospora beticola, is the most widespread and damaging sugar beet foliar disease. Symptoms include the random distribution of spots with brownish red rings which eventually cause leaf collapse. Older leaves will have spots of larger diameters as rings grow outward. C. beticola is a necrotrophic fungi that uses phytotoxins specifically Cercospora beticola toxin (CBT) to kill infected plants. CBT causes the leaf spot symptom and prevents root formation. Yield losses from Cercospora leaf spot are around 20 percent.
